The Village of Burton Pidsea
Welcome to our Village
Burton Pidsea is a small rural village located in Holderness, East Riding of Yorkshire. It lies between the city of Hull to the west and the coastal town of Withernsea to the east. Both of which are within easy driving distance. The village is served by a Post Office, Shop & Garage, 2 pubs and the Memorial Hall, which is used by clubs & societies, the local playgroup and for social events. There are buses to both Withernsea High School and South Holderness Technology College for children moving on from primary to secondary education.
At Burton Pidsea Primary School we have close links with our village community. The school is at the heart of the village and is involved with village affairs, for example the creation of a local woodland and co-operating to plan the village play area. Local businesses work with the pupils in problem solving and team building projects which has a positive impact on their achievements and we have a range of visitors who enhance the pupils' learning.
